HI!

A co-worker has a B6200 serial#10537 with 467 hours. It has a one year old Italian(can't recall brand) made 48" rear finish mower and a rear blade. I haven't seen the tractor yet but believe it to be in very good condition. He is asking $2600. Sound like a fair price?

Yes, one can tell the age by the serial number. In this units case, the B6200 with s/n 10537 is a 1984 vintage.

As far as the hours go, be mindful, these units still used a three place hour meter. So, consequently, when they reached 999.9 hours, they started over at 000.0 hrs. This unit being a 1984, probably has around 1500 or more hours on it with seeing "normal" home owner use.
